We had a blast at this year’s Healthy Ageing Summit on the Gold Coast! It was a packed couple of days full of inspiring speakers, hands-on experiences, and real conversations about what it means to live well and live strong as we age.

We were stoked to showcase our RUKVESTS at the event. If you stopped by our stand, you would’ve seen people strapping on vests and getting moving in our RUKCLUB demos. It was a great chance for people to try the gear, feel the burn (in a good way!), and learn how adding a bit of weight can make a big difference to everyday movement.

One of the big topics at the Summit (and something we care deeply about) is bone health. Building and maintaining bone density is crucial as we age, and weight-bearing exercise is one of the best ways to do that. Just a small increase in bone strength can dramatically reduce the risk of fractures. Our RUKVESTS make that kind of training accessible, safe, and even fun – whether you’re walking the dog, doing a short ruck around the block, or joining a RUKCLUB.

And if you want to hear more about the "why" behind what we do, check out this podcast chat with our founder Adam, recorded as part of the Summit series. He shares the story behind RUKSAK, how weighted movement can support longevity, and why making strength training approachable is so important to us.

Big thanks to the crew at the Healthy Ageing Institute for putting on such a great event. We came away full of ideas, new connections, and a lot of excitement for what’s next.

Stay strong,

The RUKSAK Team
